I used to use this with Winblows, and it seemed just as good as Adobe Reader. The only thing it lacks is the ability to create/edit PDFs. I guess you could always export PDFs from OpenOffice.

I use acroread. It works exactly like a copy of Adobe

Really? Never noticed, it is just an application I can choose to install when installing Opensuse 10.3.

acroread is the adobe acrobat reader.... is the "official" reader

Yes, it is Adobe's product and therefore including it in repositories would probably be breaking some copyright laws.

i think debian-multimedia has it in the repositories.... and maybe in opensuse you have it as well... but..
