KDE 4 seriously looks just plain freakin' awesome. I'm totally going to try it once it goes stable.

Testing the alpha currently. If you've got a spare partition or can make one, don't wait for stable. Test it. Amazing, and I'm a Gnome fan myself.

i think there are beta-releases (livecd) and i think they are from Debian and Suse at least...

i tried it and is soooo nice... (now i use kde 3.5.8 with some transparencies...lol)

Yeah, it looks awesome! I've been a Gnome fan for years but with this release I'll use KDE in parallel with Gnome, if not KDE by itself! Very Happy

I have always been a huge KDE fan. I will probably be able to help more with KDE than with Gnome, although if KDE 4 is different, it won't matter. KDE 4 should surpass Gnome here soon unfortunately.

i think we should wait until kde 4.1 is released, because kde4 is not ready for end-users... there are some things to fix before it is usable...

Yeah we should. I used KDE 4.0 on Opensuse, and it was very unstable. It is not even ready to replace 3.x yet.
