I think we should include Gimp in our release. It seems to be a good unofficial replacement for Photoshop, for home usage. I use it and it works well enough. What do you guys think?

inkscape is also well known, but i personally dont use it (because i dont know how to do it, or what for use it)

Dav,
Inkscape is a vector illustrating tool. It makes creating SVG images a snap. Not sure it should be included as a default, though, as most people don't need to do this kind of work.

As for GIMP, it is on every system I have installed as well. It doesn't add a lot of bloat and is a great replacement for Photoshop. If we're concerned with instant usability by new users or those switching from another OS or distro there's always GIMPshop. GIMPshop is a "hacked" or modified version of the GIMP to give menus the same naming conventions used in Photoshop. As a previous OSX and Windows user, GIMPshop made my initial transition to Linux much easier. Just my two cents.
