I think that it is good, by I am also a big Utorrent fan. As an alternative, I use Ktorrent. This one looks good, but I will try it out and see.

Yes, I use uTorrent as well on Windows. Another torrent client I might look into is Deluge. Perhaps install both Transmission and Deluge and see which you like! Very Happy

i use transmission on Mac and Linux, and its just really fast! on windows i use utorrent, which is also nice...

i think its nice to have it as default

ah! i nearly forgot... i think transmission uses gtk (however, i use it in kde)

Can't tell you about transmission, but deluge (which I use) is a bandwidth hog, I download at 158 kbs and it will use one half of that and tie up almost all of the rest of my bandwidth.
If this is to be a distro for the masses, the interface LOOKS too simplistic.

I would suggest Deluge for Gnome and KTorrent for KDE.

I've tried many different bittorrent clients, and I'd have to give my vote to Transmission as well. Simple, straightforward. +1.
